Birthday's, Easter, and Provo City Center Temple dedication

There was a lot that happened in March at the Hemby house!  There are also a lot of pics, so I hope that I can tone it down, although I may not since I think they are all so fun and full of memories!

First things first, Ammon is now 8 Months old!  He is growing up so fast, and he is learning things so quickly that it just leaves me in awe.  He has decided that he likes grass, he loves to try and get around by himself, even though he isn't crawling yet he can still move around quite a bit.  He also can say Dadda, and he also says Blah, blah, blah! like Dracula from Hotel Transylvania. :) He also knows how to say Baba when he wants a bottle and is hungry.  He doesn't really like to nap, and the only way to get him to nap without sleeping on one of us is to lay him on his stomach.  He likes to be around Mom and Dad and Michael, and he likes to be involved in whatever happens to be going on.  If he feels left out then he gets pretty angry and cries.  Poor thing! LOL

Michael had a birthday this month!  And, lucky guy, he got to celebrate it twice!  We had a party up in Brigham with family on the 5th, and a lot of his cousins came.  We did cake and ice cream, and he loved his Captain America Shield cake. :)  We also took him and cousins to the park to play.  It was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast!  Even I tried out the slide, and it was kinda fun to remember what it was like to be a kid.

There was a second party on the weekend of his birthday, and that was with some friends we have here in Provo.  He just loved all the fun things they got him, and he has had so much fun playing with them ever since.  He also got a full dozen balloons that float and he loved playing with those for days.  Even Ammon had a great time playing with them.  I can't believe Michael is already 3 years old!  He is in full on tantrum mode though, and we have thought about trying to potty train again, so maybe in the next couple of weeks we'll give that a shot.

Me and the boys had a fun little morning on St. Patricks day.  I made Green Mickey waffles, per Michael's request, and the boys both had their green shirts on!  They were so cute and were playing together so well that day.  I just love them both to pieces, and I love every interaction they have together. It's just a lot of fun to see these two grow together as brothers.

Another great thing that happened this month was the dedication of the Provo City Center Temple. My Mom and Dad came down with my niece, Anne, and we actually had my brother and his fiancee, and on Sunday my other brother, Geoffrey, came as well.  It was a fun weekend that we played and did all sorts of fun things.  Mom and Dad wanted to come to watch the kids while we went to the temple dedication.  It was a much needed reprieve for me from the world.  We found some beautiful white handkerchiefs that had the new temple embroidered on them to take for the ceremony.  I felt so at peace, and I was able to be filled with the spirit and with the rejuvenation that the spirit can give to get through.  The talks were phenomenal, and the spirit spoke to me of things that I need to work on.  Going to the temple is one of those things, and I had already made a goal for this year to be better about going to the temple.  I have gone at least once a month in some form or fashion, so I hope that I can continue to go.  Also, I need to get working on family history.  It would be really cool to take some family names to the temple this year, so I am trying to find some time to do some genealogy as well.  When we got home, poor little Ammon had been crying almost since the moment we left.  Mom finally got him to fall asleep on her lap, but he has a really hard time being away from us for some reason.  We all had a great dinner and then everyone went home.  Michael was really sad and wanted everyone to stay, but we will see each other another time.
We have had some really good weather in March, and so we were able to take the boys to the park a few times and play outside.  Also, Matthew was able to build the sandbox that he wanted for Michael for his birthday, and Michael loves it!  He loves to go out and play.  It helps me out too because he is entertained and I can get some cleaning done. :)

We are so blessed to remember at this time of year the Atonement of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  I am so grateful for the sacrifice the Saviour made for me.  It has helped me so much in so many ways in my life, and especially right now when things are so chaotic and there is so much hardship and sad things happening in the world, and with people I love.  I started reading the Book of Mormon everyday, out loud, in spanish as part of my scripture study goal.  It is amazing the things that are brought to our remembrance when we read the scriptures.  A lot of it is coming to pass right now, and it made my resolve more firm and my heart more compassionate to those who have lost the way, or are needing the gospel right now.

Easter was fun with the boys.  We colored eggs, and did a little egg hunt with Michael, and we also had a visit from the "Easter Beagle". Michael's favorite easter show is the Charlie Brown's Easter movie, so he always asks about the Easter Beagle.  So cute. :)  The boys got a cute easter basket, and Matt and I got one to share.  We watched Ben Hurr and just had a relaxing day.  It was a great day for being with our boys and remembering our Savior.

Another fun and awesome thing that happened this month, my sister Mary had her 4th, and last baby girl!  Her name is Mariam Kelly and she is just so darling.  The weekend we had Michael's family party was the weekend that she had the baby.  Actually, on Michael's original due date.  Now we have another March birthday!  I went to visit and saw the baby and I did Mary's nails while she was in the hospital.
We also took Michael to see Zootopia! We really liked that movie, and Michael keeps asking to go back and see it.  Maybe when he finishes potty training. :)  Ammon is learning to crawl, and just about has it down, and we went and looked at wedding dresses with my brother's fiancée, Ashley.  She thought it would be fun to go, so they came down the weekend of the temple dedication and we did that with her.  This dress looked so amazing on her!  The pics don't really do it justice.
Hopefully I will get the one for April done a little faster than this one.  But, life is crazy, and this is so much fun to do and to remember someday all these wonderful, crazy adventures that we had together!
